Andrew Harper is a sound designer, mixer, and consultant for theatre, opera, and ballet.  He recently designed the audio for all  outdoor productions at the 2021 Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York, and is preparing for the 2022-2023 season with Houston's Theatre Under the Stars, where he is the resident designer,  He regularly designs for Houston Grand Opera, most recently for My Favorite Things, a Sound of Music sing along concert presented at the TDECU Stadium.  He was the resident sound design consultant for Houston Ballet for the 2018-2020 seasons, and is fortunate to collaborate with various other performing arts organizations across the United States.

Harper's designs have been heard in New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City, and elsewhere.  In early 2020, he was preparing the designs for the world premiere ballet Pretty Things for Trey McIntyre/Houston Ballet, the world premiere musical Pure Country for Theatre Under the Stars, and Francesca Zambello's West Side Story for Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Italy before the global pandemic forced productions to pause.  He is excited to be a part of live arts returning and thrilled to be working with fellow artists again!
